چکیده

The aim of this study was to evaluate the genetic diversity sour cherries using SSR markers, correlate data with phenotypic traits, and investigate suitability Prunus-specific microsatellite markers in species. Nineteen cherry genotypes from Fruit Research Institute Érd, Hungary, were analyzed twelve primer pairs. number alleles ranged two ten, a mean value 4.67 per locus. highest generated BPPCT 007. All primers displayed polymorphic pattern. most informative based on PIC values, CPPCT022, BPPCT041, BPPCT030. grouped flowering time, ripening fruit weight. To determine correlation, we have performed regression analysis association traits molecular markers. marker PceGA025 appeared an allele size that statistically significantly correlates time. Also, BPPCT002, BPPCT007 UCDCH17 Additionally, one UDP 98 410 be correlated

Genetic and molecular characterization of three novel S-haplotypes in sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.)

Tetraploid sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) exhibits gametophytic self-incompatibility (GSI) whereby the specificity of self-pollen rejection is controlled by alleles of the stylar and pollen specificity genes, S-RNase and SFB (S haplotype-specific F-box protein gene), respectively. As sour cherry selections can be either self-compatible (SC) or self-incompatible (SI), polyploidy per se does not...

Ethephon-Induced Gummosis in Sour Cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) : II. Flow Characteristics of Gum Solutions.

Flow of sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L. cv. Montmorency) gum solutions through a glass capillary was Newtonian for pressure gradients from 0 to 1.8 megapascals per meter, and hydraulic conductance was inversely proportional to solution viscosity in this range. However, flow became plastic at pressure gradients above 1.8 megapascals per meter, resulting in a decrease in solution viscosity. The ma...

Influence of Cultivar and Industrial Processing on Polyphenols in Concentrated Sour Cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) Juice.

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of cultivar and industrial processing on total polyphenols, anthocyanins, hydroxycinnamic acids and antioxidant activity in concentrated sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L., cvs. Marasca and Oblačinska) juices. Samples were collected during four processing steps: from fresh fruit prior to processing, then from pressed, filtered and concentr...

Sour Cherry (Prunus cerasus L) Anthocyanins as Ingredients for Functional Foods

In the recent years many studies on anthocyanins have revealed their strong antioxidant activity and their possible use as chemotherapeutics. The finding that sour cherries (Prunus cerasus L) (also called tart cherries) contain high levels of anthocyanins that possess strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties has attracted much attention to this species. Here we report the preliminary...

Somatic embryogenesis and organogenesis from immature embryo cotyledons of three sour cherry cultivars (Prunus cerasus L.)

Immature cotyledons of open-pollinated fruits from three sour cherry cultivars (Prunus cerasus L.) were excised and cultured on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with various combinations of auxin and cytokinin to induce somatic embryogenesis. Somatic embryogenesis occurred principally when using the combinations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid plus kinetin. Using a-naphthaleneacetic ac...
